Starting on 1 October 2007, Yello will offer gas in selected market regions. This represents a wise addition to Yello’s product range, which is being expanded in line with Yello’s growth strategy. For competitive reasons, we will communicate the first location where gas will be available at the time of the market launch. Criteria for the pilot areas include market, change and competitive conditions, which provide the framework for an offer that is beneficial to both the customers and Yello alike. Cus-tomers who wish to order their gas from Yello will also benefit from the same prod-uct, service and brand-related advantages provided by Yello Strom. At this time, we cannot specify any prices, product details or other regions where the offer will be available for competitive reasons.

Yello has been driving the competition among energy providers since 1999. Now, Yello will also introduce competition to the previously monopolised area of “meter technology”, offering the yellow economy meters online starting in 2008. Customers can use the yellow economy meters online from their own PCs. With the Sparzähler online, consumers can track down electricity guzzlers in their homes and lower their overall consumption in a targeted and sustainable manner.
